This project - Tomorrow - is a group of graphic illustrations that are based on a story about the future that I remembered from elementary school titled “Sunglasses for Jill”. In this story Jill, a young girl , finds a pair of sunglasses but doesn’t know what they are because she’s never seen the sun or been outside. Her grandfather has to explain that before everyone had to live inside there was a need for “sunglasses”.The illustrations in the story had a collaged style and it had a post - apocalyptic theme. These elements both influenced this body of work.
